How to create different and unique for your company?

Talking about creating an unique feature for a company, people usually thing about creating an unique product or service but the cultures, or the brand... could also make an unique imagination about that company. Since your question broad that way, I am going to pretend you are talking about creating an unique feature for a product or a service.
In order to do so, you need to know very well both your product features and your competitors' product features. After that need to study on the needs from your customers, I suggest you do a research for that and looking very carefully by compare all product features (your company and your competitors product ) to the customer needs and see whether there is any missing feature that not fulfill one or more customer needs. If you found one, then congratulation, that may unique :).
Let me take an easy example from detergent market these years. If you are buying a detergent bag, normally it will just be detergent with very simple basic feature that to use for wash your clothes. But in order to create new and unique feature OMO or TIDE....they create new detergent product base on customer needs: Wash your clothes, you needs detergent, fabric softener, perfume smell, or event now you need to save water, protect your skin...
Remember: The more competitors you have the harder you find the unique feature, and the more competitors you have, the shorter time be unique you are :)
