How do you think about "Lean Manufacturing Coordinator" position & his responsibility?
As I know, this position is very new at VN company, and when I ask almost Manager I know, they really don't know what responsibility of this position.

Lean/Kaizen is including many tools and activities. Any activity help to eliminate waste for a company or factory that is Lean. At my company, To implement lean/Kaizen, firstly I have to identify the first status of our company by VSM and ensure that I have the below most important factors:
1. Top down support
2. Lean is a key objective of my company
3. I am a dedicate manager to lead lean project
4. Training and training lean thinking
I also implement 5S, Kanban --> JIT, TQM, TPM and continuous improvement.
Lean leader have many responsibilities, but the most important that how to train Lean thinking to every employees. Forget complex tools and make visual training as much as possible and lead by sample.

Lean come from TPS, TPS come from TWI, who knew TPS//TWI they will be understand lean.
If they say don't know lean, I think you ask more about TPS/TWI, may be you can get some one.
