I'm a mechanical engineer. I worked for a Japan-Vietnam joint venture cement manufacturing company for 5 years.

I want to change environment and get more motivation to improve myself, to achieve my career goals.

In our province, having a large project and they are recruiting some position that very suitable to my background and objectives. I sent application and resume to them but not be called for an interview.

I called to recruiters. They said my existing company had sent a commitment proposal to require this company not receive/accept any candidate for my existing company (I suppose this is relating to Japanese relationship matter).

I really want to take this opportunity but it seems to be very difficult.

What will you do if you are in my case?

    In this case , there are few solutions

    1.  You try to find out who is in charge directly in that project though any means: personal contacts, linkedin, facebook  etc, dont  go through recruiters, then offer your skills and experiences to him/her. the higher level people your contact the better chance for you to receive an  interview. 

    2. if you have a contract with you current employer, go through carefully the whole, to find out any parts andy articles, any sections mentioned about this matter. If  it stated on it  some where, then you stuck where you are. If not,  you can take legal action against them as corrupte, violate the contract and company policies,  harass and abuse employee.. With the big company as you said, they don't want media involve, so they will give you the way out.
