Sales Operation and Capability Development - Senior Manager


Job Description

Job Purpose:

This member plays the key role in developing the capability of Sales people, maximizing the technology and upgrading the quality of Sales operations to become the best in class Sales team in Vietnam market in term of being trusted and high performing.

Main Accountabilities:

1.     Capability Development:

  • Own the Marico Sales University to drive capability development for multiple levels and channels in Sales, drive the on-boarding program for new joiners, design and deploy the annual training plan, strandardize and implement the Sales Competencies framework, lead the competency assessment and drive the talent pool to nurture future leaders.
  • Create and articulate a career roadmap for each level in Sales in line with Marico philosophy of building Gen-Next leadership talent from within.
  • Demonstrate the strength of foresight by capturing the digital transformation in building capability and driving efficiency.
  • Own the incentive, reward and recognition programs in Sales to retain the talents, strengthen working effectiveness, and enhance the engagement.
  • Develop and equip the frontline team with sufficient working tools and uniforms.
  • Be the role model of driving Marico GOWIN culture and Code of Conduct.

2.    Systems:

  • Manage and drive the operations of core technical systems in Sales such as DMS, PDA, MT Application.
  • Own the system development plan including functionality enhancement and technical upgrade.
  • Be the project champion, superuser, and trainer of Tableau, OLAP, BI, BW, VMR, familiar with DMS and its database structure. Create, manage and cascade authorizations and reports.

3.    Sales Operations:

  • Standardize the operational process within Sales department and the working process of frontliners.
  • Propose optimum Go-To-Market model for GT channel while explore opportunities in other alternate channels to drive strong business growth.
  • Collaborate with Trade Marketing to standardize outlets classification and define proper strategies of range selling, trade activities, POSM tools… to win shoppers.
  • Establish the tracking mechanism to assure compliance and commercial hygiene.
  • Create business updates and analyses periodically.
  • Be the bridge between field sales and other supporting functions to solve problems and cascade information in a timely manner.
  • Be involved in key processes and events of Sales including JC, Sales Brief, SnOP, MOR, AOP.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing sales team and developing distribution system preferably from consumer products industry with advanced knowledge of sales fundamentals, business information technology, customer & shopper insights, brand & category management, business analyses.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Commerce/ Economics or related majors.
  • Proven track record in the role of capability building and sales management
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills.
  • Open and willing to learn new things and adapt to new environments. Having strong ability to build skills and competencies for self and for others to optimize effectiveness and career advancement.
  • Proactive, innovative and excellent team player with a strong capability to handle objections, to resolve conflicts, and give constructive feedback.
  • Advanced skills of communication, presentation, public speaking, team activities.
  • Fluency in English and computer skills.
  • Strong analytics skills and critical thinking.
  • Can work under-pressure and independently, and be free to travel.
