Job Description
- Reporting to Sales Director, the Regional Sales Manager – South East leads the front line of sales execution in stores and supports the overall development and execution of sales fundamentals to maximize profitable turnover growth and market share.
- He/she develops effective sales strategies to ensure that Bel’s sales objectives are met in all stores across South East region in the territory with disproportionate growth in Top cities and strategic distributors, in line with Bel’s code of ethics.
- He/she leads the entire field – direct & indirect- sales force population (sales supervisors, sales reps).
- He/she owns critical organizational challenges, building coverage and developing plans to win in stores.
A successful Regional Sales Manager should inspire, engage and reward his/her team to deliver flawless execution everyday thanks to territory and coverage management, rigorous tracking of sales fundamentals execution in stores, trade marketing tools, organizational optimization, people management and sustainable competence development.
Job Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, recommend & implement effective sales strategies and action plan that maximize store coverage across territory and channels to grow sales, market share, sales fundamentals, whilst keeping budget under control.
- Set, communicate & monitor individual/regional targets, manage performance metrics.
- Make sure Bel’s national agreement with retailers is delivered and executed in regions & stores.
- Prove a deep understanding of regional/customers/shoppers’ trends & commercial environment.
- Leverage data analytics & follow up regularly regional & individual business metrics, hold quarterly business reviews with key stakeholders to assess opportunities and threats.
- Develop, coach, train, motivate and control the sales force population to develop their skills, ensure monthly sales KPI are met with high professional standard.
- Ensure adherence to Bel business code of ethics & HR procedures. Monitor CAM expanses within targets.
- Lead through people management, performance reward scheme. Recruit & develop new staff members, develop a rich & diverse talent pipeline for his/her team.
- Is accountable for safety results & safety on the road policies enforcement.
- Liaise & proactive partner with other Departments within and outside Sales.
- Build strong external network
Qualifications and Competencies
Minimum degree and experience required:
- BA degree in business.
- 8-10 years Sales experience within a structured FMCG environment, with a minimum of 3-4 years successful RSM South East experience. Career path must include proven assignment managing high-performing sales team, ideally as Sales force regional manager.
Specific competencies required:
- Result-oriented & performance management, complete leadership skills to build trust, inspire and motivate employees across different territories, good coaching capabilities.
- High level presentation, effective written & oral communication skills to listen and speak to all types of individuals. Demonstrated ability to manage & cultivate relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong supervisory, interpersonal and collaborative skills. Ability to foster and sustain solid relationships, influence, partner and network with multi functions.
- Effective planning & organizing, problem solving & demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines and maintaining sharp attention to details.
- Ability to work under stress & resolve conflict.
- High ethical standards.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of sales performance metrics and commercial environment.
- Strong selling / negotiation technics.
- Fluent in English and ability to work in multi-cultural environments.
