This competition was first launched in 2003 by Hanoi School of Business to seek for potential business and entrepreneurial talents in Vietnam. It was the idea by Truong Gia Binh, Chairman and CEO of FPT Corporation, the biggest IT corporation in Vietnam. In 2008 it drew attention of more than 2,000 competitors around Vietnam
