Is it important to have time with your family and kids? How do you spend your spare time with your family?

First I must say thank you to alls for sharing your family experience with me.
What is about my opinion?
To me, family is fundamental for personality formation. The family concepts and teachings are fundamental for a personality formation. I believe that human behavior is based on moral and ethical principles. Even though environment influences partially to human behavior but a high percentage of the formed character is acquired from the family. Because family has the components as norms, values and rules that are support to the person a healthy indentify. I strongly believe that family is one of the main tools for the structure of personality, so I think we are the parents must educated our children a compatible moral and values with the culture where they live.
Today, the family structure appears to be deteriorating before our eyes. Gone are the days when families eat dinner together or communicate with each other. Too often parents are so busy with work and or social responsibilities that they neglect to spend time with and fail to communicate with their children. Even though I just get one 3 months son but I already see the important of communication between parents and children. Communication between the members in the family is essential, as well as an active father, and disciple, rules and boundaries contribute the success of children.
When I say an active father, I mean a father plays a key role in the lives of their children, and without their presence, the risk of children’s failure and underachievement increases dramatically. Trust me; I see this role is essential because I lost my father in my childhood. It is hard to develop your character without your father. I don’t have a father as a mentor like most people do. So, I must learn everything from books and from people around me. One more thing I also believe is parents must be as friends with their sons and daughters, instead of enforcing rules, invoking disciple or establish boundaries which later leads to destructive behavior of their children.
I clearly understand that you folks who participate in this topic discussion also think the role of parents in family is essential. I don’t mean to lecture nor show off; it is just my shared thoughts. Family relationships are not easy to uphold therefore we must need to put effort into our family relationships in order to strengthen our family structure.

With me, Family is the best imfortant, we try to stay together all our space time, have breakfast and dinner together; On the weekend, my small family go to home with my large family in Long Khanh, after a week we go to work hardly and go home helping us add strong to start a new week.
my son is 5 month old, this is a stage which baby will make the acquaintance of evrybody, should I bring my child go out regular ... and i spent mamy time to talk with him to develop his IQ ...

Even though I am not yet into marriage, I would say parents, please don’t ever forget to listen to your kids regardless of their ages. You may reckon that (Vietnamese) parents often speak to their kids more than they listen to them and I personally think such one-way communication is improper explaining why kids are afraid of sharing their feelings, wishes and all with their parents. Listening to your kids does not require specific time commitments/location as long as you know when they need you.

The dinner is very important in my family! We often wait all the members comming home late to have dinner together (of course not too late). I usually encourage my husband and my children to tell the happy or sad things encountered in the day, so that wwe can give each other advices.

Yes, it it very important to have time with our family and kids. Money is hard to earn but don't be too busy with money, work etc... We should spare much time for our family. I had a daughter at 8 and a son at nearly 10 months old.... At weekend, we take our 2 kids to go out for their play or for eating, coffee, going to supermarket, bookshops, or visiting our relation or just staying at home and enjoying an idle day together with some nice food, music......Going out if best for baby but you should care of sun, drain for him...because baby is sensitive and still weak ....You will feel your life is great and calm, balance and much happy and much healthy....and money will come naturally later (as our proverb: Trời sinh voi, sinh cỏ)... where there is love, there will be other things such as money...Our babies (our children, your children) now are very dynamic, so you must keep an eye at him every time and teach him from his child age such as tell him the color, things...buy toys for him etc.... (hic, my son is very curious and stubborn now - too tired with him but happy to see his progress)... and time flies so fast ...don't miss the most great time in your life now with your small son- the time when you take care and teach our child - very tired but very wonderful, nice.....because when he grows up, he will have many other things to study, to care...so he and you will be not as close and friendly with you like now....when we become old,our children become older, they will have their own interests and they will forget us...hehehe ....Good luck and health to you all.
