What advantages and disadvantages to jump around different companies in a certain period of time?

As in my point of view, there are two clear points which are seen when you jump around different companies:
- Advantage: get more relationship, colleagues and more experience in other companies' model.
- Disadvantage: Not enough loyal to be promoted and not a good point for employers when seeing in your CV.
